AOTW [46] : Hollerado
Credits to my BFF for showing me this awesome video from Hollerado. This Canadian indie rock band started off in 2007 and they won this radio competition called “Big Money Shot” in 2009, coming in first. They have played in several gigs like Pop Montreal and SXSW ! Interestingly enough, they were the opening act for Jack White (the guy from The White Stripes) for his new band ‘ The Dead Weather’ too !
I like their quirky music and their single ’Americanarama’ music video is awesomely interestingly shot as a human 8-bit format ! According to them, this video was shot in one take ! Amazing stuff ! Check it out !
AOTW [38] : Christina Grimmie
I’m not a fan of Miley Cyrus but this 16 years old did a great job on this Miley Cyrus medley, topping it up with a almost-like-MV music video. She certainly has a great voice to begin with and as usual, I like to feature cute girls who can play their own instruments ! Of course I wouldn’t be so cruel to feature just a Miley Cyrus song (hur) ..so enjoy the other video ‘Pyramid’ !

AOTW [17] : Meeting Of Important People
Just a quick one since I’m taking a short break from school work and came across this brilliant music video from Meeting Of Important People !
As you can see in the video, everything was built out of cardboard ! Apparently the entire set took 2 weeks (8 hours a day) to build with an average of 5 volunteers working on it. (By the way, the set was taken back for recycling after the shoot.) The entire stop animation took about 3 weeks to complete.
I like how they put together everything and “Brittney Lane Don’t Care” is a great song from the indie-rock/pop band ! Very quirky with the nonsensical lyrics, yet so appealing !
A creative and visually intricate video that proves great directors don’t need to do just films !
