AOTW [9] : Eagle-Eye Cherry
Randomly came across Eagle-Eye Cherry while looking at random music videos on youtube. Didn’t pay much attention to it till I came across the name again on my tumblr.
As usual, I like songs which contain lyrics that relates to me or at least meaningful enough to complete a song. This is pretty awesome for those wanting to fall in love again, but dare not make the move because you have once been hurt before. Sometimes all it takes is a simple promise (and I don’t mean empty promises) to make that someone feels loved and wanted again. (ahh..I sure sound very emotional here for a second, hur)
I have to say, another not-exactly-new-myspace artiste but here’s his hit from 1998 which I thought was quite a nice one (with really retro music video feel).
Eagle-Eye Cherry “Falling In Love Again”
I’m so tired
Of falling in love
Finding it easier to fall out
Can’t deny it
I feel it inside cupids fire
I can’t hide
I’m falling in love again
Ain’t nothing I can do
Falling in love again
Girl this time its with you
When I fall
It’s always the same
And I’m so tired
Of playing this game
It’s been so long now
Since I gave up my heart
I’ve kept it locked down
I don’t wanna get it harmed
So let me tell you now
I just want to be sure
That you wont hurt me
Can you promise me that
You got to tell me
If you’re going to break my heart
cos I don’t wanna take the chance
And if it ain’t true
All it’s gonna be
Is nothing but a poor romance
So give me that promise to hold on
And I’ll never let you go
We gotta have something to go on
I’m letting you know now
Falling in love again
Your own radio station ? Holy Blip !

I’ve joined blip.fm since 17th Sept last year and so far, I’m really loving it.

I meant to blog about blip ages ago and go into details but let’s just keep it short and simple.
8 reasons why i love blip.fm :
- It is like the best bit of last.fm+twitter all rolled into one.
- It has a realtime feed of what other “DJ”s are listening to.
- It is personal/interactive because you pick the music for your playlist and you get to reblip others.
- It encourages “value-system” – it requires contributions from its members in order to benefit from the others in the society.
- It has an idiot-proof interface and system – just search and *tadah*, there you go!
- It has a built-in virality and a good feedback system.
- It has alot of “undiscovered” artistes, oldies and radio hits shared by others.
- It is addictive – it’s almost becoming a habit for me to share my music pick everyday.
What I really liked about blip is that it directly updates my tumblr and twitter to allow others to see what I’m listening to.
Most of the time I’ll also plurk about my blips as my “music of the day” plurk. I guess it’s a good way to share great music found online and so far I spend at least half an hour on blip.fm to look for good songs and am getting props/positive feedbacks on my music taste – which really is quite an ego booster. (HAHA) ![]()
Sure, there are many music sharing sites out there and probably better ones. But Blip.fm is still my favourite as of now. Do give it a try (c’mon, it’s not like you don’t have 9867545122 different accounts out there already) and let me know what you think about it ? ![]()
Speaking of music, I’m planning on adding a new “element” to this blog. Keep a lookout for my little project! =)
NEW (kid on the block)
FINALLY ! ingridmak.net is here !! (much thanks to Stanley and the boyfriend) ![]()
I spent the entire afternoon thinking of what my first post should be – cliche , cheesy or yet another self introduction ?
As you can see, none of the above ! I’m keeping this short and sweet instead. ![]()
Look out for more (aka update your rss feeds) !

I know =) More awesome posts soon !
Next up…it “Comes With Music” ![]()
P.S: It’s bad to be using a template after spending 3 years in a design school, will do something about it when the term ends ! ![]()
